Do you supply packing boxes & materials?

Yes we do supply boxes .We have different size boxes that we supply to our customers on loan. All we ask is for a deposit cheque. Once you have moved and un-packed we will come and collect the boxes from you free of charge within a 10mile radius of our premises. We also sell packing tape & packing tissue.

What happens if my move falls through last minute or changes date?

At Beck’s we understand that it is common for dates to change, so our approach is that we will not take payments from our customers until we have both agreed that we can commit to a specific date.

Can I pay in advance?

Yes you can! Up to 7 working days prior to your removal we are able to except a bank transfer; alternatively if you would prefer to pay on the day of your removal you can pay cash when our team arrives.

Are you insured?

Yes we are fully insured, your house contents are covered for up to £25.000 in transit as are the contents of any items which we have packed for you. There is an excess of £50.Any item which you have packed yourselves in boxes are not covered.


Can I leave the drawers in my furniture full?

If the items are not breakable (i.e.: clothes or soft items) we will able to move the furniture full or alternatively remove the drawers if the item is too heavy but if the items are fragile in any way please remove and pack separately.

What should I do with my TV?

We carry wrapping blankets on our vehicles and our team will be able to ensure it is correctly protected in transportation to your new home.

What should I do with my hanging clothes?

On the day of your removal we will bring hanging wardrobe boxes, your items will be transported and hung in your new home. We will need to leave with these cartons on completion of the move.

What should I do with my curtains and curtain poles?

If you decide you are going to take these with you, unless discussed otherwise with our surveyor, please make sure these items are down and packed.

Do I have to empty my loft?

Our insurance does not cover our staff to enter the loft space of our customer’s homes. Please make sure your loft is clear prior to your moving day.

Do you take gas bottles or paint?

Our insurance doesn’t cover us to transport these items so please make alternative plans for them.
